FC United were formed at the right time and in the right circumstances and brought fans with them, I'm not against United FC I'm all for it, but why aren't these fans looking to form new clubs being asked what's wrong with the present non-league, non premeiership clubs.I haven't before and I'm not going to try and convince you that there's nowhere else they can go. But I don't think you'll see Marine FCs or Prescot Cables gates drop if another team is formed just as Stalybridge and Hydes gates haven't dropped since FC united.
You seem to think that another club would have a detrimental effect on local non league football..
Since FC united's formation 10 years ago they've had gates of over 6000 and averaged around 2000 for home games and if Theres no game on at a weekend or if its a distant away game a lot of the fans will go and watch another non league team in the area who are at home, boosting attendances and putting money in the coffers.I do this myself quite often. I've watched Salford and Chorley many times in the last 10 years.
Not to mention the amount of ££ the other teams are taking through the gate when they're playing FC United at home, This alone is helping local clubs to develop and budget confidently for the following season.
I can only think that if a similar club in Liverpool were to be formed and established it would only promote and benefit non league locally in and around Liverpool.
It could take off but it probably won't, but personally I hope it does..
