I thought I'd put a comp on, I've got a neat idea for it. Our Pro dvised to check if our clubhouse was open. ????? Why wouldn't it be? Well it's not!

Is your place open?

We started a Christmas Day lunchtime bar opening session last year after it having been stopped some years previously. Course not officially open on 25th although some go out and play anyway.

We're open Christmas Eve and Boxing Day but can't ever remember a comp on either.

Clubhouse is closed Christmas Day, reopens Boxing Day with a Texas Scramble to ease us over the Christmas excesses.

Shut Christmas Day although I don't know anyone that would get away with playing on that day. Even I wouldn't consider it. We reopen on Boxing day where members guest are allowed to play for free

Given Christmas Eve is a Saturday this year, I'd expect the clubhouse to be open for some of the day, but, someone has to get things ready for Christmas Day, which will no doubt see a lot of people eating their Christmas Dinner in the clubhouse.

We have a fun comp on New Years Day at the club, more of a social event than a serious golfing event 😉

With two kids I wouldn't want to get out on Christmas Day; but know plenty of the older generation (and indeed some singletons) who would go out if they could.

Christmas Eve the club is open - course is normally busy then late afternoon Santa is there for the kids , then it's carols for a while and then a Xmas buffet. On xmas day me and the Bro In law have popped onto the Dukes for a quick round in the morning - fair few on the course. Boxing Day we have a Yellowsomes Comp
