Has he got any bottle at all?????

Nosebleed!?!?

Think he needs to get over the line here to get a bit more confidence then he'll be ok, if he doesnt win, he will be questioning himself if he gets in this position again.

No need to be so harsh they all blow it before they learn to win, he'll get there, there can only be one winner out of a field of quality golfers so second aint too bad, plus he probably earned more for second then most of us will get all year.

Yeah and it's not as if he was playing on a easy course and in perfect conditons.

That course looked hard enough on a good day nevermind with strong winds.

Surely it has to be about the winning more than the paycheck?
His sponsor deal with mizuno probably covers enough for most people to retire on.
76 on a final day wasnt great shooting, but hopefully he will learn from it and get a win soon... personally i cant see it though

I don't think today is really the day to be overly critical. It wasn't a McIlroy type meltdown and apart from going OB at 15 didn't hit it too badly. It is a tricky course and the conditions were pretty brutal. I'd be more concerned if he'd played a more benign course and gone backwards in perfect conditions. I think he just needs to win ugly once to get the belief and he'll be fine. Not to fussed about the caddy situation either. After all Seve was hardly a regular gig especially in the last years of his career. A lot of players have gone through caddies regularly

Oi, leave my fellow long ashton member alone!! ;)

He will win.... one day.

He has won major amateur tournaments and I won't be long till his first pro win.

Bottle crash plain and simple.

Clarke, Forsyth, Lawrie etc all managed to play well and not gas a 76. Lovely golf swing and by all accounts comes across as a superb young man but his bottle is now in serious question.

I think it happens to us all, he just needs a win of any kind to get the ball rolling, look at people like Michelson in getting a major, bottled it loads of times and now look at him!

Well he didn't "bottle it"quite as much as Gmac did. And he's got way more experience than Woody.
Clarke, Forsyth, Lawrie - loads of experience and its always easier to come.from the chasing pack rather than hold onto a lead.

Can't it just be that he just played poorly and DC played well?

Nothing to do with bottle, the man (kid) has pushed to win The Open twice.

Anyhow, 23 year old millionaire called bottler by Internet choppers..... Can't see him losing any sleep to be fair

Naw but I bet you he didn't sleep well last night as he re counted himself calling the gasman.... ;)
