Chipping

I seem to have been quite good at this, last year alone I can think of 8 occasions off the top of my head: 4 at La Manga in 2 different rounds, another 4 at Hawkstone Park on the Society Weekender to steal holes in the team Matchplay, 2 on consecutive holes. The Crap part is I am still waiting to break 100!! Funny ole game.

Haven't chipped in for years, then twice on two different par 3's in the last 2 weeks I missed the green, duffed chip 1, holed chip 2 for par.
The strange thing is that I don't think my overall chipping has improved massively, I'm not leaving loads close and giving them a chance to drop, my average distance from the hole is still rubbish. Just got lucky a couple of times I guess.

I practice chipping all the time as I can do it in the back garden whenever I want. I would say around 7 or 8 out of 100 from that range especially once I got the feel of the shot and my eye in.

ive just chipped about 20ft from my room to the hall.a little dunt with a 52 wedge. i use this space for chipping quite often. i know it breaks slightly from left to right.

1st ten balls i hit a fruit shoots bottle twice. 2nd ten balls i hit it 3 times. this is a smaller target than a hole.


out of 100 on a green with someone to move the missed shots out of the way. who knows?
