Hi,
Having problems pitching/chipping out of rough when the ball is sitting down it comes out low and fast or i catch it heavy, not really having any problems from the fairway or rough when it's not sitting down, think i may be coming in too steep, any suggestions.

Mike,

I'm not an expert, by any means, but could it be that the rough is catching the hosel and delofting your club?

I find that if I am chipping from the rough, and the ball is sitting down a bit, I open the face a little. That way if the hosel gets snagged then it doesn't deloft as much.

Give it a go and see if it helps.

Mike, a bit tough to tell without seeing you swing, but I suspect your backswing may be a bit long and you are quitting on it with little or no follow through.
Try shortening the backswing and make a committed swing though the ball :)
