Chicken Tikka

In my defence I wasnt suggesting using the sauce to make a curry, it was a simple way of spicing up cold chicken to have in a salad or a baguette.
There are no additives or e numbers and according to the jar, it's made in Hemel Hempstead.

So Vig...whats your favourite curry recipe then :)

You don't have to defend yourself Bob. Each to their own.

My god some folks even like curry from the chinese??????
Chinese don't make curries, just like Indians don't make chow mein. IT IS FLAVOURED SAUCE!!!!!!

I don't have a favourite as such. Can pretty much make/eat any with the exception of vindaloo.

I defy anyone to say that they "LIKE" Vindaloo. The spices make it too hot to taste the food. I just don't get it.
I think there is a lot of bravado with it with groups going out and trying to outdo each other.

I have to disagree. You definitely build up a tolerance if you eat a lot of hot food. Some people find a Korma hot where others find it bland. It's the same thing at the other end of the heat spectrum.

I have a cracking recipe for cheese on toast if anyone wants it. It consists of cheese on a slice of toast.

agree with the comment about Vindaloo, I often have a Phal which is even hotter. Usually after a dozen pints though as I dont think I could eat it sober. :D

Is yer toasted cheese on the carpet???

Try using a plate.
I got the pic off the tinternet, I haven't bothered to take a pic of a slice of cheese on toast.Next time I make some I'll update the pic.

Lol the toast has been slated so drawboy quickly absolves blame.

You wouldn't have told us it was off the internet if the toast was heralded! :D x

For those of you who can and can't cook, this is sooooo easy but delish.

First you need to buy this stuff.

It's 75p from Lidles or Aldis.
If you live in Sleaford, its the one next to the train station :)

Slice up some chicken, fry it in a little oil for a few minutes and add the sauce. (1/4 of the jar per breast)
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes then allow to cool. Done :)
How hard can that be? (You can freeze it at this point)
Delicious cold in a salad or in a fresh baguette.
Of course you can add fresh chillies or chilli powder if you want to spice it up a bit.

Disclaimer...this dish may contain chicken

That's swung it for me, I'm off to Lidl now....

Made in Hemel Hempstead....better then Slough or Ashby de la Zouch.

We know how to live :)

Ah not so, the pic was slated the recipe is still fanastic. Take a slice of toast add some grated cheese of your choice and grill till bubbling. Now that's cooking and not a jar in sight. You can't slate that.
