Anyone on the forum into chess?
I've known how to play it since I was a kid, but when I say I "know", I mean I know how the pieces are allowed to move - but not a clue as to how it's supposed to be played properly.
When back home in Sweden last Christmas I tested positive for Covid 24h after landing, so the better part of Christmas was spent in my room, and to kill time I downloaded the chess.com app and started playing again.
Play pretty much daily now and have learnt the absolute basics of strategy, but still rather shite tbh. It's fun though, but oh so frustrating. On par with golf I'd say when you realise your mistakes or that your opponent have set a trap up.
Apparently, my chess rating is that of a "wood pusher", meaning, as said above - I don't know what I'm doing really. Howering between 680 and up to 720 in my rating (yes, I know, that is not good).
If anyone want to challenge me or teach me a lesson or two, search "Boomschack" on chess.com.
