Had a thoroughly enjoyable round with the craw today at his course, Old Ranfurly.
We got really lucky with the weather as it was really chucking it down when I left the house at 8.30 and although it was still raining when we teed off it brightened up nicely and with the stiff breeze mostly keeping the rain away it could've been almost described as tropical (for the West of Scotland in September ).
The course was in superb condition and surprisingly dry underfoot for the amount of rain.
The greens were great, fast and true. Too fast for my dodgy putting stroke on a couple of occasions as it was only the fringe that kept my ball on the green.
It was the first outing for Crawford's new Ping i15's and he certainly got them working, hitting some beautiful iron shots.
It was great to have a nice, relaxed round of golf on a near empty course.
So thanks again Crawford for a great days golf and the usual great company on the course.
