Cheep new shoes... Or Quality old ones?

My old dad used to say buy the best shoes and the best bed that you can afford because when you're not in one you're in the other. Sound advice methinks. I have shoes made by Church and a pair by Tricker, had em years and still as good as new.
 
Nothing worse than seeing someone in a decently cut suit and thn you look at the feet and see some horrible cheap and nasty shoes.

I judge people a lot by the quality of their shoes.
 
cheap shoes?

Hope they weren't cheap heels you were wearing, they tend to rip right through your tights and chafe your heel :whistle:

Edit: Apologies for going off topic. I have been guilty of buying cheap shoes in the past but now know the benefits of buying good quality ones, particulary for the reasons above as wearing a suit every day.

I have one pair of shoes, other than tennis and golf shoes. Last pair lasted about ten years, and current ones have been going about six years. Hate breaking in new shoes, and always struggle to get them wide enough.Must have leather soles. As I work from home I rarely wear shoes during the day.;)
