Cheating ?

Once played a friendly against a society, the fellas where 26 and 28 handicaps, they played ok except one of them went in to the real long stuff full of nettles, 5 minutes later claims he has found his ball and the when taking the scores claims a 6 on a par 5 when it was more like a 9. The worst thing about this chap was he knobbed one into the trees on our 17th and couldnt find it but I did notice on the previous green he was using a nike ball then on the 17th he was with some battered top flite!! He had the bloody cheek to win something and look like he had won the lottery by cheating, never play with or against society people again.

If they're ball cleaners or kickers etc., see if you can discreetly video it on your phone. Irrefutable evidence, and everyone can kick off at him / her.

1. You could ask them to watch the last 5 minutes (make that 10, it took 5 minutes for the ref's decision) of Brian Davis' playoff at Harbourtown last weekend. He gained the respect of every golfer watching I'd bet.

2. Don't play with them - ever again.
