Changing from back boiler to combi

How much would this normally cost?
Does radiator need replacing?
Walls need chasing?

I have briefly looked and costs were around £7k. My brother in law is having his done now and is moving a lot of pipes and was told by one plumber he would need all new pipework through out!

The guy doing has kept the existing rads, just moved gas and some pipework and removed hot water tank and expansion and cold water tank from loft. Think their bill is in the £8k region.

I paid no where near £8k,that sounds extortionate to me.

Best off getting a few quotes,preferably off people that come recommend.

Take a look at this British Gas calculator. Answer a few questions and it will give you a rough idea on a price.

I'm not sure I'd use BG, but at least you could use their price as a starting point.

We had ours changed 12 years ago. Simple job, no need to change radiators, which were around 20 years old, & minimal new pipework. Still going strong.

Why not replace the old back boiler with a new one ? Baxi do a direct replacement for their old Bermuda line.
