Starting to seriously like the TP Red ball and think it has replaced the ZSTAR as my number one choice. I prefer the feel of the TP Red for short game and especially off the putter face, however I prefer the ZSTAR off the tee.

Morse shots are shaved on the short game so I think this ball could be my new prefered choice.

I went through the same process earlier this summer. I tried and liked the Z Star but when it came to buying another dozen, well the old faithfull TP Red was the one that found it's way back into the bag.

Like you I think it is better on and around the green.

The Z Star is good off the driver, and during the dry warm spell in June, I was hitting it some 10-15 yds longer than I would hav hit mt usual TP Red.

It will be interesting to see how the Z Star fairs in the winter. If I give it the chance ;)

I've been using Titleist PTS Carrys for some time and found them to my liking.

Last week I found a mint condition Nike One, stuffed it into the bag and forgot about it. My next round I pulled the Nike out of the bag, thought I'd give it a go.

Plays very well indeed and suits my game. May have to invest in a box when my Titleist stock depletes itself.

Anyone else use Nike Ones, how do you find them?

Z Star was my ball of choice most of the summer but noticed they scuff up pretty quick so am back to the old favourites the Pro V1x.
Prefer the Pro V1x of the tee but round the greens and putting i like the Z Star ,but they look old to quick will give the Pro V1x ago over the winter.

I'm still swapping between Z star, Cally Ix, TP black (only just discovered the reds which has added to the confusion) and Pro V. All of them have their merits and faults but I think on balance it will TP blacks for me followed by Z star if I run out

To be honest, I’m not good enough to tell the difference between the top balls. I can use Z stars, pro v, black, red and at the moment I’m using up my stash of Z urs balls. Pro vees are the best for feel with the putter, after that they all do pretty much the same and stop well on the greens. I would put money on with most reasonably good standard players to tell me what ball is what off the tee……….I’m talking about the top balls here.

I'm with Tommo, all the top end balls are much of a much and even though we all have our favs I don't think you'd be able to pick 1 from the other just from playing alone...but they are worth paying that little bit extra for.

I agree, lots of great golf balls around. I use Pro V1x, Z star, TP Red and Cally Tour iX. Not sure there is much difference between them.

I switched from Titleist to Srixon earlier in the season. I like the AD333 a lot, but also like the Soft Feel too. I won some Nike clubs in a media competition back in June, but Nike were having problems providing one of the hybrids. As a token of good will, they sent me a dozen Nike One Vapours the other week. I have been very pleased with them so far. Lost the first one with the very first shot after drilling it into some trees, but the second one lasted me 3 rounds. which is probably the best I've ever used a single ball. Did try to lose it many times, but not until the last but one hole on the 3rd round did it finally fail to emerge from the trees.

Nice ball, compares well with the AD333, will use again, although I have just bought a couple of dozen Srixon's in the Direct Golf sale because £11 a dozen wass too good to pass up (email today - the sales still on....)

New ball on the Market come March from TM....the Penta TP,read about it in Golf World it's the games first ever 5 piece ball so no doubt everyone will be drooling over those soon until the next one comes along!
:D
Tour players are already playing it and salavating over it....so would I mind if I were paid x amount to play it! ;)

I have used the Z star throughout the season,so i will keep it in the bag for the winter as well. Cant say anything bad about it TBH. Will try new balls as ans when they come on to the market, but i always find myself teeing up the Srixon.

I find the Z-Stars slightly longer than the prov1's.

The TPred is a great ball but I can never find em in my local golf shop.

Probably end up back on the 333's come winter. Wont need much spin as the greens hold when its soft anyway!

I agree with the Scottish (or nearly) contingent, that with premium balls there isn't really enough difference to tell them apart.

Apart from the Cally tour Ix. It is a rock. Total rock. Can't see how anyone (Michaelson included) can play with this. It makes Molitors feel responsive.

TM TP red/black, ProV 1/x, Zstar, Nike One etc, fine. Cally = no.
