Championship & below.....2018-2019

After the comments about/by John Terry and his contract negotiations if Villa are promoted - I now hope more that ever that Fulham beat them.

Wow. What a day. Talk about going through the wringer. Not a classic game but a piece of quality for the goal. Yes we should have been down to ten men and I can't condone or justify a clear stamp. Similarly Grealish should have gone too. Stupid challenge by Odoi for the second yellow and real backs to the wall stuff in the last twenty minutes. I guess it shows there is a resilience and ability to defend in there already although the quality of the Villa delivery was definitely not PL level. Hopefully, we can make some astute signings and have a good season without a relegation battle.

It's going to be hard for Villa now and they've lots of players on loan who I assume will go back to their parent clubs. The likes of Grealish could go and Bruce could have a rebuilding job. The headache this morning tells me it was a good day. It was typical Fulham to make it hard for themselves and the fans. I wouldn't have it any other way

Oi, get off our thread. You don't belong here any more. You've got your own thread to post on.

Tad harsh. Hoping we'll have enough quality to stay up, but like the last time we were in the PL strength in depth worries me. Good that we don't have to games a week regularly to deal with anymore. We were relatively lucky with injuries this season but had we not I'm not sure we'd have had the back up players to dig out the 23 game unbeaten run. That's where the big 6-7 clubs in the PL have a distinct advantage and the capability to deal with injuries

In all seriousness, I think that how you get on in the PL will be determined by what happens between now and the close of the transfer window, with who you bring in and who you keep hold of. The three clubs promoted last year staying up must/should give you hope.

Read a piece today explaining how the loss will mean a big change at Villa. Too many players on PL wages that due to the reduction in parachute payments will have to be off loaded. Villa haven't spent big but their wage bill was large. Could be a tough season coming up.

Big day for Coventry tomorrow, it’s like 1987 all over again, hoping that everyone is Wembley bound so the course will be empty in the morning 😜🏌️⛳️
