I have a number of very good American friends. I refuse to tar so many good people with a simplest generalisation. Their views are the same as our views. Their beliefs in doing good around the world, supplying aid for less fortunate(wealthy) countries hasn’t changed.

Anyway, this is the celebs who have passed thread.

I do not disparage all of the citizens of the US…I know that there are very many disgusted - simply a reflection on how much of the RoW perceives the country at the moment.

As a celebrity maybe the US as a country as we saw it has died.

Anyway…seems less mention of Michele Reiner who also died with she herself being a very highly recognised and respected producer and actress.

Indeed. God gave us free will and ‘weeps’ at evil and harm done by vile individuals.

That the evangelical right of US Christianity continue to support this individual, despite their claimed beliefs, causes most of faith outside of their orbit to utterly despair of them, and to pray that some day soon they will heed the guidance of their faith and their God and see the error of their ways. Unfortunately I do not hold my breath.

Maybe ‘their God’ needs to be giving them a bit more direct guidance as waiting for them to heed it doesn’t seem to be working. Almost seems to be tarnishing the brand.

Something needs to happen over funding. Over 300,000 licence fee payers didn’t renew this year. 300,000 X £174. And people complain about the quality dropping off. Hard to maintain quality when they’re over £50m down on licence fees.

I think the licence fee is coming to an end.less and less people are paying per year with younger people not watching the BBC at all.

plenty of other free streaming services for people to watch.
It’s not like anyone is going to go hungry or freeze without the good old Beeb.
