Hi,

I’ve just joined a club under the Play More Golf scheme and want to play their competitions. They’ve told me I need a CDH handicap but the club I was previously a member of (around 3 years ago) no longer have a record of my handicap. Does anyone know if there is a way I can find a record or will I have to go through the process of getting a new one at my new club?

Thanks

Jon

As Louise says your CDH record should still be held on the central CDH database and can be searched for by the new club handicap secretary...however, that will not deliver you a handicap.
As you left over a year ago you will have to be treated as a new handicap allocation by your new home club; submit 3 cards and advise them of what your previous handicap was 3 years ago. They are required to takeout history into account when making an allocation based on your submitted cards.

Contact Englandgolf.org, advise them of your previous club and they may be able to check it for you.

EGU do not want players to get a new CDH number when they already have one.
