I've played it but not in a couple of years. It's about 20 years old now and is much better than when first opened. I was a junior member for one year back then. It's pretty open so if the wind blows you'll feel every bit of it.
Not much advice to give, the trouble is there for all to see - so no tricks. The final six holes are very pleasant. The 18th can be a very awkward green to hit.
A fairly easy course, the fairways are pretty wide open and missing your itended fairway usually means you still have a shot.
Starts with an easy driveable par 4, would suggest you lay up though, followed by a straight forward par 5.
The 2 best holes are a long uphill par 5 with a dogleg right somewhere around the 13th and the 18th another dogleg right par 4 which runs downhill after about 180 yards, definitely not a driving hole!
There are 3 holes where water comes into play, the first par 3 which is about 180 yards and pond left of the green, the very next hole, which may be SI 1 IIRC and a par 4 where you have to play over water with your 2nd shot. Beware the wind as the water is definitely reachable with driver!
Not a bad track, in pretty good condition all in all. The 9th is miles from the clubhouse!
