Dear all

Below (at last) is the draw for Castle Stuart. This is of course subject to change if we have dropouts.

I have tried to get a good spread of handicaps in each group while also keeping together those who requested to play with a certain AN Other and also factor in requests for early/late start times.

Any handicap changes or if I have missed any requests please email me michael_harris@ipcmedia.com and I will update.

One other thing to note is that Titleist have kindly agreed to support the day and will providing some prizes and they will also do a ball-fitting for everyone where you will get 2 x two ball trial packs. The Titleist rep will talk you through the ball fitting concept (which I know a few of you will have taken advantage of in the recent promo) when you sign in so make sure you check in well in advance of your tee time!

There will be prize giving after golf

**Best stableford score in the following divisions 0-9, 10-17 and 18 and above (which almost exactly splits the field into 3 x groups of 20)
**Best team score (best 2 scores on each hole with best 3 on par 3s)
**Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive
**Card draw for a mystery prize

I will also do an optional 2s sweep

Thanks Mike.

Quick question, however. I'm due off in the first group at 12 noon and am driving up with Neill Brotherston who's off at 12.40. We're due to collect Martin Lumsden, who's off in the last group at 2.20, from Inverness airport at 11am. I'm just worried that if his flight is delayed, for whatever reason, I'm potentially going to be either wheel-spinnning into the car park at 11.55, to then be on the tee at 12, or may even miss my time altogether!

With all due respect to my 12 noon playing partners, is there any chance of swapping me to a slightly later start time, say from 12.30 onwards?

Sorry to be a pain.

Many thanks.

Re: Castle Stuart Draw - updated version2

Top notch, Mike. As usual, you've pulled out all the stops. Really looking forward to this.

Very pleased to be out with Fergus (wins from 3 down with 4 to play) Bissett again. I'm sure he has a device in his pocket which deflects my drives into the rough and bushes. It took me 14 holes to hit a fairway last time I played him. The batteries must have run out by then. I'm in for a torrid day!

Not met Simon Smith (what's your forum name, Simon?) or Phil Medley before but I will meet Phil at Spey Valley the day before. Should be a grand day.

The only question now is what do I do for 2 hours waiting for someone to beat my 45 points? Oh. Wait. I remember. (Will be taking a taxi to the course on Saturday morning from Nairn)

:D :D

Yehaaaa.

Thank God I avoided JF!

Great work in finding a sponsor in this financial climate Mike, you could be head hunted soon for the LET!

Looking forward to it immensely.

For anyone who's getting into Nairn on the Friday night I'm gonna suggest that everyone meets up at "The Braeval Hotel & Bandstand Bar" from 9pm onwards for a few beers. It's on the corner of Marine Road (google maps refer to it as Marine Road Central) and Crescent Road.

Good bar, overlooking the sea, easy to get to, would fit us all and it has a pool table! Open til 1am too. If any problem finding it ask a local. Everyone in Nairn knows where it is.

Sneaked in at the last to Castle Stuart :(.

Praying the weather is reasonable - looking like sun and showers, temp 15 degrees for Saturday so on the whole not bad. Wind gusting from the south west (it's not a northerly!) to 32mph - lookout!

Yes Brendy. Easy peasy.

And Birdieman, you got Joe Simpson's slot. Injury rather than flight problems. So now you know who you're out with.

Re: Castle Stuart Draw - updated version 3

Mike, in the spirit of Brian Davis, I should point out that my handicap is 12, not 16, although you may struggle to believe that when you see me play !
