Go and play at Monifieth, great course and the members make you so welcome. Wonderful course.
I played Carnoustie two years ago on the winter course and was not impressed at how much they had butchered it. I have played Carnoustie in the summer and it truely is a wonderful day out, great course, history etc. In my opinion the winter fee is not worth it.
Its a bit like really looking forward to a home made steak pie after a round of golf and when it comes somebody has bitten a large chunk out of it!!!
