Just wondering if anyone knew how this course is and what sort of condition it is in at the moment - thinking of heading down there for a stay later this week

Also I hear there is a 9 hole par 3 course too - is it worthwhile or just a beginners track with poor greens etc

It's a couple of years since I last played it but it was then a decent enough track although not spectacular.

The par 3 course is very short and is set in the grounds/gardens of the hotel.

The hotel is quite comfortable and food is good. Clientele generally 50+.

My old course this is. Yeah it's a nice enough course reasonable in length. On a bad day with the wind coming in off the sea it's difficult but this time of year is getting better middle of winter it's tough..
Greens are decent and well looked after.
The clubhouse had just had a make over and is nice by all accounts. The driving/practice range is fully outdoors and take your own balls job. The 9holes thing isn't nothing special it's just in the hotel grounds. The hotel is nice but pricey (I love 2miles away I'll do you a room cheaper haha)

Also with in 4miles is another two courses Porthpean golf club and st austell golf club. Both shorter in length than the bay but still enjoyable. Porthpean is fantastic views on back 9 but possibly id rank it lowest of the 3.

If you want any more info just ask I'll help where I can
