Do members of a members golf club own it or are they the custodians of it. I'd like to think we were the latter. It would be nice to think that owners of football clubs took the same view. (Mod Edit). BTW - does anyone ever ask the fans of a club when a new buyer is on the books whether or not they want him. Maybe they should be asked. Very very unlikely to make any difference to the buyer and seller - but at least the fans position on the new owner would be known from the outset. If they are not asked then clearly someone doesn't belief the fans have any valid interest or 'ownership' in the club.

Guess the problem is as always that football just breaks the rules in every way it can find, listen to your customers?? stuff 'em they're saying something I don't like!

The problem is I don't think it would. The money brought in by fans is small change compared to tv money, sponsorship etc etc. The premier league could function quite happily behind closed doors.:(

I don't think the big boys see it like that. Take Arsenal for example, 40,000 season books at a minimum cost of nearly £1,000 each is £40 million a year in lost revenue. I don't think you can categorise that as small change.

No - but clubs have that money before the season the kicks off. So a boycott now isnt going to hit them financially as the fans have already paid.

Fair play overall, although was it under Bill's tutelage that they sacked "Z cars" for a bit, and played some unholy mess when the teams came out. The kit or badge farce at the beginning of this season didn't help either. That said, he gave in and altered it after pressure from the fans. These other divvies such as Hull and Cardiff's chairmen ride over everything roughshod, and sod the consequences.
 
My team Hearts went bust with a Lithuanian banker in charge.

I feel more affinity to the present team of Scottish teenagers facing a hopeless task of staying in SPLF1 than a bunch of overpaid and unskilled Eastern European players that the owners were hoping to spotlight and sell on.

Sorry for going a bit off piste, but what did you think of Rudi Skacel? We were all quite excited when we signed him a few years ago, sadly he turned out to be garbage even at Championship level.
 
I hope he gets the push rather then he jumps ship and the fans then boycott the place , all this is down to the Russian at Chelsea , he started all this free for al stuff ..............The Cardiff owner could come to regret his actions , remember Ratner and his words years ago , his investment went to pot due to his lack of respect ............................EYG

Good player in his time but past his sell by now for the Championship
He should have stayed at Tynecastle and become a leader/ legend.
 
Red is a lucky colour in Chinese culture , that's why he change it as is the number 8 is also lucky , why not buy Liverpool then he has nothink to change . he will sack the manager as losing face is another thing the Chinese don't do so he has to sack him or give him a private deal but he resigns to save them all face . Who will want the job then , steve clark ? eyg

Because he couldn't afford Liverpool! Thought he was Malaysian not Chinese?

At a field today and The Cardiff fans were amazing today in support of mackay when we went three up before half time I was hoping it wouldn't be six or seven as that would have given tan an excuse to get rid of him,
