Hello all.

I shall be in the Cardiff area at the end of the month (beloved is in town for a college reunion & I’m her designated driver) and before I do the usual google search, does anyone know of any “pay and play” courses in the area.

I’m not looking for invites or reciprocals.

Thank you.

Lots of "clubs" in Cardiff, I don't know of pure pay and play only.

In between Cardiff and Newport are both Peterstone Lakes and The Parc. Both are P&P. Peterstone is usually well kept.

Additional thought, technically Vale of Glamorgan and Celtic Manor are pay and play. The former is north of the city, the other north of Newport, both close to M4.

If using the M4 there, check the traffic as its generally a mess.

Golf Now will have plenty of options depending on what day you are looking to play. Wouldn't say there are any must plays in the area but plenty of courses to choose from.

Feel free to get in touch if you need any specific advice. Enjoy

The Vale has 2 courses. The Lakes course is rubbish but the Wales National is ok if you fancy a long and tough challenge. Can be very boggy, even in May, but with the dry spring we’ve had I’m guessing it will be ok (it’s been dry in wales too hasn’t it?).
