Aren't all wooden tees inherently biodegradable?

Wood rots, does it not..?

Yes they are fair point, I suppose my comment was that it would be better for the course to avoid plastic tees. By the evidence around the tee boxes on my course there are many plastic tee users that just leave them all over.

The factory next door makes Carbon Fibre and according to people from the joint golf society we have with them they need the sales - go for it.

However the orange castle I have in my pocket right now has served me for about 10 rounds worth of driving now so cost wise its gonna be a long time to profit if you want o compete!!

I would aim for the luxury car accessory / high end gift set type market i.e. a tee with Ferrarri written on it - something that demands a decent premium.

A guy at our plant used to do bespoke gear knobs for MG cars - he turned them himself, put them in good presentation box and would add unique detail such as the car reg of the buyer. Sold a fair few on Ebay as well. Probably more of a hobby for him as they took him hours to make but he is a perfectionist and loved doing it.

If, as you suggest, these are indestructable and never lost, I would only ever need to buy one. No business is ever going to survive producing them. You need to sell loads at a small mark-up, as happens with wooden tees, or sell a few at a high mark-up which you would need to do. This would make your tees too expensive. After all, I can pick up a bag of 200 at Tescos with the weekly shop and not notice the difference in the total cost.
