Hi im new to the forum and to golf really, i had the following idea whilst playing golf,Why Not A Carbon Fibre Golf Tee? plastic ones break, wooden ones rot/break and metal ones would never be made due to the weight they carry damaging the club face on impact. i have made 1 prototype for my self out of solid carbon fiber and i can say the carbon fibre is strong, durable, light weight and looks incredibly cool. what do people think?

Cheers Tom.

Judging by the amount of unbroken tees I find around teeboxes, any colour is easy to lose.
What colour is your Carbon Fibre one..?

I'm a no. If they're relatively indescructable what will they do to the cutter blades? Remember reading an article many moons ago about why wooden ones were better for the cutters...

I lose the equivilent of a small bag of tees a season, so it's really not a reason for buying a special tee that would, I guess, cost as much per tee as a pack. Sort me a ball that I cant lose !

Have never bought a tee in my golfing life, have been given bags of them free with various pieces of equipment (many still unopened) and have bags of pick ups ... So unless your gonna donate one to me then I doubt I would ever by one, and the marketing for a single tee that costs many pounds is gonna be great reading.

Its a no from me, surely we should be following the yanks and going for biodegradable, last time I was over there
the tees supplied by the starter were made of recycled corn waste a much better idea, :p
