I found LV the cheapest. But think it will depend on the area you live. One thing I can say, is look at the ones that don't go on the comparison sites I found it cheaper. For example I use to be with the AA. went direct to them and the price was over £100 cheaper than a quote for them on go compare.

I think admiral will match any quote you get... but it's really not any cheaper for their multicar policy... that bit's just a scam.

Au contraire mon capitaine. Wife and i had separate Admiral policies at a combined rate of £750 PA, went on multicar and it's now £600 for same cover.

Ive had Multicar twice which was cheapest at time, but also had 2 seperate ploicies for me and the wife, which were reduced by naming my wife on my policy........

I got my renewal a week ago.
£540!
Went on the meerkats, disregarded the first few companies and then went direct to LV=. £224.10
Got a letter this morning from my "old" company providing NCB for my new policy.
My old company was "Highway"...and who are "Highway?".....part of LV=.

I use a broker now and he's always managed to get me cheaper year on year.

I've never found a better quote from any 'reputable' insurer on the internet that my local broker can't beat... Due to past 'issues' I will not deal with any RBS owned insurance company... Easier to avoid them using a broker...
Plus all the girls at my brokers office are a whole lot more 'cuddly' than any flipping meerkat
...

I've used brokers for 15 years. I push them to get the best deal and always check out the internet prices first to get a feel for the prices. Never had a complaint or problem.
3 years ago, all my 3 cars were through them.
Now I'm down to 1.
Currently Ford Puma £210 through broker.
BMW Estate. Best Broker price £340, got £224 internet.
Mitsubishi Estate. Best Broker price £296, got £215 internet.
I don't know what's going on.
b.t.w. I did once try to get all 3 under one policy. I think these multicars can work out, but it depends on SO many factors. £850 was about the closest I could get.

Did you know (info for general people here) there is a company that appears on ALL the comparison sites. They are easily the cheapest.
They appear under the umbrella of RSA insurance. Unless I'm very wrong, this would be the old-standing company Royal and Sun Alliance.
I would urge anyone considering one of their products from the "cheap" end of the market to do some extensive googling.
