Hi all,

I'm new to this forum so be gentle.

Four of us are off to Spain in May but are having trouble with deciding on a hire car.

We've been offered a Merc Vito for £400 which is a ridiculous sum of money.

We also have the option of a Ford Focus Estate for £150 or two Ford Fiestas at £100 each.

No-one supplies roof racks and, as we'd like to travel together, are leaning towards the Focus.

BUT, will we get four cases and four golf bags in? Two of the golf bags are in solid travel cases & two are in soft cases.

We only need a car to get us to the hotel & back to the airport, but, transfer costs are astronomical.

Any advice would be gratefully received,

Slime.

We had a focus estate in Portugal this year and we got four golf travel bags and two hand luggage sized cases in the boot and put the other two cases on the middle rear seat.

With the weather being so good at that time of year why not take Pencil Bags? I never take a full bag to South Afrcica when I am over to visit. Rains so little and is so warm that there's no need to pack all wet weather gear etc. Saves on weight and space plus still goes into a buggy just fine. This will then save on space so you can easily fit into the Focus. job done

Hi Captainron,
Will be taking my carry bag.
I need the pockets for plenty of golf balls, never know how many I'll need on any given day!
It may be just the one......................it may be just the one dozen!
Also need to carry LOTS of water as we always walk the course we're playing.
Thanks anyway, good shout,

Slime.
