Bad news. Turns out the course is reduced to 14 holes on that day as the red bull air race is coming to the racecourse that weekend and the 14th is a practice day apparently and CAA guidelines say there has to be a "sterile" area over which they fly.

However I've had an email from our general manager and they would be able to negotiate a really strong deal against 2015 rates for your requirements if you want to consider Royal Ascot next year. Might be worth bearing in mind if you get involved in this next year

What's nice is that most of us can happily - and proudly - recommend to others their track and club - and that is one reason I am a member of a golf club.

My place most certainly isn't the best course of it's sort in Surrey - probably nowhere near given the great courses about us - but in it's own right it is a lovely course and a good club.
