Capello's resigned!!

They have had a Sven a Swede, Fab and Italian, whats wrong with someone Chinese?

emerging markets and all that, great for shirt sales amd TV rights:)

Harry will get the job, especially as everyone now knows he is such a trustworthy character.

Personally think Martin O'Neil would be worth considering. Always does a good job wherever he goes, and knows the English game as well as anyone.

The problem is who? apart from Harry could do the job

How many other English Premier League managers are there? Not Many. Alan Pardew or Woy Hodgson and thats it

Big Sam Allardyce isnt my cup of tea and are there any welch, irish or scots managers who could do the job, maybe Martin Oneill, but he has just started at Sunderland.

We are a bit thin on the ground, unless we change tack and get someone like Beckham who lives and breathes England, but he hasnt the qualifications.

Its been well known that Fabio was on his way out after the euros, so presume the FA have a replacement in mind, or have they?

Its a right mess

Fragger

Roy Hodgson, with Gary Neville as assistant.
RH for the tacticl side & GN for the passion, the thing that England are sadly lacking.
I'm glad Capello has gone, but the FA were wrong to strip John Terry of the captaincy, he should have resigned.
Never liked the bloke, too big for his own boots. Can't wait for him to get a custodial.

Slime.

I think it will be south gate until after the season finishes. Tough on spurs, but I think twitchy will take it come season end. Don't want him as England manager, but I think he will be the next one.

As for capello, what a selfish git. To resign on a point of principal this close to a major championship is totally self centred. Ok, so he had his captain deposed. Big deal. He could still be in the team, and even if he couldn't, he is one player out of about 25 squad members, who have invested time and effort in trying to play capellos way. What message does this send to them? Pathetic action of a guy who is clearly not a team player.

Good riddance.

If I was English I would be delighted that the Postman Pat-alike has resigned. The best thing about Capello was Culshaw's impression of him. The World Cup was a disaster, the players (many of whom are very talented) need an English coach to come in, restore some national pride and discipline. Morris dancing, mushy peas, cockney rhyming slang, sing low sweet bleedin' chariot, inner city riots, pretending that the Olympics will "be good for the whole country" - do whatever is necessary to get these overpaid millionaires passionate about their country.

Of course I'd be delighted if they did nothing of the sort and instead appointed some faceless Euro-guy as a coach on £bazillion/year and then went tits up big time at Euro 2012. That's 'cos I'm a Scotland & St Mirren fan - a double curse which means my only footballing enjoyment is the schadenfreude experienced when teams on my Death List* lose.

* = England, Morton, Inverness CT, AC Milan, Man City and Chelsea.

Gary Neville this is the guy that recently said he felt his days with the England National team had been a waste of time. So no to him leave him to carry on spouting his Man Utd bias on Sky thank you. If Arry does not take it I do not think there is a suitable English Manager to take it. Then you are left with going foreign again Mourinho, Hiddink etc. Whatever it is a right Royal mess and yet again the National team are a laughing stock. Why can't we get it sorted nearly all other sports are on the up or improving at, Cricket(Pakistan tests aside),Golf for starters. Yet Football the national sport which has more money chucked at it year on year goes backwards all the time.

Can't say i blame cappello whatever you think of John Terry and im not a fan of his he is only guilty by accusation it isn't proven yet so should have been Cappello's decision on the Captaincy etc.

Does the England job really need a full time manager? Couldn't Harry do both as we've only friendlies until we get an old fashioned arse kicking in all our games in the Euros. Will the FA really appoint Redknapp. They couldn't wait to ditch Terry Vegetables. Same with Do I not like that when he lost the team. Same with Mystic Glenn. McLaren was just pants and so no loss.

No loss if Terry goes. Lost his pace and he's divided the changing room. Lets start building a proper team with young talent given their chance and not played for a half in some meaningless friendly and then ditched

Harry Redknapp? His best players at Spurs are a Croatian, a Welshman, a Dutchman, a Frenchman, a Togolese, a Cameroonian and a Brazilian! His best and most consistent Englishman was only 3rd or 4th choice under Capello.

Unfortunately whoever takes over will only have the same pile of shite as Capello to work with and will no doubt deliver the same results as his predecessors - it's the English system in player development that is the problem, not the manager.

Hiddink would be the perfect choice given his record at international level with mediocre teams cos let's face it, England are currently mediocre at best.
