Need to move itunes from one lap top to another and am cack handed at that kind of thing

Can anyone recomend a good IT guy in the Cambridge area?

You dont need an It guy for that
You do however need something to copy your music folder to and that will depend on the size of it
An External hard drive is something that you should have and use regularly to make a copy of your important docs, music and photos.
All you do is plug in the external drive into the old lappy , it will auto play and come up with a drive letter
find your music folder and RIGHT click it, select "Send To" and choose the drive letter for your hard drive.
It will tell you when it is finished
plug hard drive into new lappy , it will also autoplay, this time choose "View Files" and the folder will open, move the window to one side.
Hit start, At the top of the window will be the user name, click that, this will open the main data files window
Move this window to the other side.
So now you have 2 windows open,
on the external drive, hit Organise, select all. all the music stuff will highlight
click drag and drop into the music folder on the other side
Thats it done, you will need to download Itunes on the new lappy and when it asks you to merge folders say YES
