On an 18 hole course you need three cards signed by other members one of which some clubs insist on being the captain.

on a 9 holecourse you'll need 6 cards of 9 each or again 3 cards of 18. That said any handicap earned on a 9 hole course is only ever going to be counted as a 9 hole handicap.

If the 9 hole course is a parr 30 then over 9 holes you will be 7 over thats 14 over through 18 holes. Still its no guarentee you'd get a 14 handicap on a full length course.

But best of luck anyhow.

You need to have 3 cards over 18 holes - no such thing as a 9 hole handicap except for when playing in a 9 hole competition on an 18 hole course where you have your official handicap, which is based over 18 holes - simples eh?
