Camera's,Camera's,Camera's

FWIW...I agree with everything said on this, Poulter has done his self no favours using the cameraman as an excuse for a rubbish shot.....but what i will say is that I watch the televised golf most weeks (ok, ok every week)and that was the first tournament i've seen this year where you could actually hear the camera shutters and motordrives going off as the pro's struck the ball!!!! I'm not saying i heard it on Poulters errant shot but i did hear it many times during the tournament and you can't usually????

I'll agree with you on that, the cameras they use in France must be crap! lol

In all seriousness though, yes you could hear the cameras a lot and it was quite loud, but Poulter was deffo just looking for an excuse.

What I really really want to see just once, is an interviewer turn around to these top guys and say what we've all said "fair enough Ian you heard a camera as you swung but you are a professional and should be able to deal with that. What your really saying is that you hit a bad shot. Isn't that the case really?"

Lets see Mr Snazzy clothes answer that and stay fashionable.

put it down to the annual Poulter foot-in-mouth display, remember last years ' I'm the No.1 (or was it 2) golfer'.
possibly his psychologist needs to bring the ego boost down a peg or three.

i reckon that he would be very angry at that question, mind you it would be fun to see how he answers

I believe certain 'superstar' golfers (not suggesting Poulter is one or that this happened) have a publisist who prior to live interviews tells interviewer of any questions or comments that are off limits, and if these a broken during the interview it will be terminated immediately!

I'm pretty sure that's why no one asked Tiger on live tv for his thoughts on Steve Williams comments about Phil Mickleson. Yet Mickleson was happy to discuss it!

Off Topic - why is this forum operating so slowly today??
It's like going back to dial-up zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I think it was Tiger that talked about a game he played with his dad where instead of giving shots they would give shouts to put each other off. Maybe he needs to get out with his kids and let them shout at him?
Yes, he supposedly learned to block out distractions that way but it mustn't have stuck because Tiger (or Steve Williams) is the first to complain if there's any noise at all within 100 yards!

When IP said the cameraman was 25 yards away I assumed he meant off to the side not in his line of sight as that would have put him on the fairway or in the water. After all you don't have to be in vision to hear a click. Why do their cameras even click anyway? surely they all use digital nowadays where the click can be silenced.

Mr Rover, I appreciate that, but when IP started walking off towards the hole, and as soon as he hit his shot, he pointed directly in front of him. As he was walking down the fairway he was pointing directly in front of him....look at the footage again, there is nobody even close!
