Callaway Optiforce

Just been perusing some purveyors of golfing equipment and while I was aware of the X-Hot having just been released (or in the last month or so) I have noticed the Optiforce, with NEW branded across the webpage and a whopping £329 price tag attached to it.
When did this come about and how did I miss it?

Was thinking about this type of thing more since the Taylormade thread. When looking at it more Taylormade currently offer 3 distinct drivers with some variations.

Callaway also offer 3.

Cobra offer 3

Titleist offer 2.

Ping offer loads (but if you follow the previous norm of G, I, K then they target for 3)

Seems pretty standard. I think what brings some companies to the fore over others is the staggered release and marketing strategy they use which basically makes if feel like they are releasing a replacement every 6 months when actually they are releasing a replacement for each targeted market every 12 months. It's simply the lure of "NEW" that frustrates us seeing something every few months rather than the expected 12 month cycle.
