With these clubs coming to the end of their production there are some very good offers both in the pro shops and online.

I am considering purchasing both the driver and fairways and woud appreciate any user comments regarding ball flight, shaft selection and ease of use.

My main quandies are that the clubs are described as low penetrating flight, however the shaft in the driver is a mid-high launch model which has been tip trimmed to 45 ins if my understanding is correct. In addition because it's a tour shaft will it be slightly stiffer than a standard regular or stiff shaft?

Any input or advice would be appreciated.

My pro has some great deals on some end of line callaway stuff, saw a ft-iq driver in his shop yesterday for 25 quid

Had a game with a lad on Tuesday that used the Diablo tour edge driver to good effect.
He plays off 4, he'd tried the the R11 (had it 3 weeks) the G20 and the razr hawk during the summer and none of them gave him the flight the Diablo did. Our pro fitted him with the Project x stiff graphite shaft.

What's you handicap? And typical ball flight?

I play with a Nike VR 11.5 degree driver with a stiff SV6 Voodoo shaft and I hit the ball straight with a high rainbow trajectory. Mt typical drive in the summer is 240 yd carry with very little roll.

Prior to buying the Nike I used a Callaway FT3 11 degree with a regular NVS shaft. Typical shot was a medium high trajectory 220-240 yd carry with more role than the Nike. The downside with the Callaway is that if I swung hard it was inconsistent. The Nike with the stiff Voodoo shaft tends to hit more fairways however I feel the loft is losing me distance.

Although I like the Nike as my driving has improved I've found I'm hitting it higher rather than longer and the ball simply drops out of the air with little roll.

From the reviews the 10.5 degree Diablo would very likely give a more penetrating flight but I'm not sure if I should opt for the regular or stiff shaft. The stock Habenaro regular shaft is rated 90-100mph and the stiff 100-110 mph. The Voodoo I have in the Nike is rated 95-105 mph and at a guess I'm right inbetween the two shafts.

Im tempted to go for the regular shaft as it's easier to swing slower and more accurately than having to try and force a stiff shaft to get the best out of it, however it would be nice to hear somebody's view regarding the stock shaft in the driver an what their thoughts were regarding flight and trajectory.
