Caddies carrying bags

because they are men! real men! and the bag is traditionally weighed down with water/food/clothing/26balls etc etc and if it feels too light it's weighed down with a few strategically placed weights HOOYAA!:smirk:

20 years time they'll be using hover bags like back to the future

I remember seeing David Gilford's wife caddy for him & she used a trolley.

I'm playing in the Trilby Tour this year, one of the stipulations is that you MUST have a caddy and the caddy MUST carry the bag.

I know that on some of the satellite tours where players can't afford a caddy they use trolleys but I'm pretty sure that on the main tours the caddies have to carry.

Tour player's bags are much lighter than the trolley bags that club caddies carry when trollies are banned.

Tour player bags may contain waterproofs, a brolley and up to a dozen balls, but water and fruit etc is available on tees.

Trolley bags tend to fill up with balls, water, clothes, towels etc. I wouldn't want to carry my trolley bag!

We have Caddies at my club, some of them are old boys and some where using trollies, I think they have all been told all bags must be carried from now on.
