Can anyone tell me if it is deemed testing the ground by picking up the rake before you take your shot from in a bunker? Some say its a rule that you must not touch the rake but I cannot find this rule anywhere. Any advice would be appreciated - thanks

It's fine to pick up the rake and remove it from the bunker. In some instances you have to in order to play your shot. As long as you don't pick it up and start to prod the sand with it you're fine.

As long as your not seen to be testing the sand your ok-picking the rake up is fine. Its amazing how many golfers struggle with this rule. I've seen a few experienced golfers penalised for raking bunkers before playing their shot.
