Hi

Looking for a ballpark guide price as to what to expect to pay to put a proper roof on a long thin garage. Garage is integral to a bungalow (simple pitched roof, ridge from front wall to back wall) and is 30ft by 9ft. Currently has a flat roof but want to put a pitched or partial pitched tile roof on that then joins the main tile roof of the bungalow to enable the space to be converted or part converted at a later date. TIA

First thing to check is are the footings of the garage sufficient to take the extra weight of the new roof
The joists will prob need upgrading as well .
Some councils may need a change of use plan but this may be obsolete now.
I am no expert but I had to do this when I converted mine.

fully expecting to replace the joists if the roof is changed. footings should be fine based on neighbours conversion but will be checked. change of use shouldnt be an issue as plenty of orp and space to put a garage elsewhere if required
