Brysons round 1 at The Open. what went wrong?

What went wrong? Time zone and lack of coverage in Australia was poor.
Rounds 2-3-4 were fantastic.

But what went wrong in the first round?

Normally only used to playing 3 rounds 😁😉

In the first round he appearing to be going at everything very hard and looked like he was trying to over power the course

He seemed to be struggling to adjust with the wind

Trying to hit bit towering 7 irons 200 yards only to see it get smacked down by the wind

He just need to think a little bit more

Heard an interview with him after he finished today and he said he didn't do a lot differently to the other rounds, just reckoned he didn't get the breaks early, then probably went chasing it a bit. Fine margins in golf. We've all had times where we shoot 10 or 12 shots worse the day after next with seemingly having done much different.

Bryson is so good for professional golf

Saw quotes where he said he made literally a couple of errors, couple of bad swings, and didn’t get the breaks that he got in his second round

Fine margins really

He's only used to playing three rounds. Four rounds is for the big boys and real golf.

Did you think that up yourself?

Your answer is unhelpful.

My opinion which I am entitled to have on a golf forum. And yes I did think it myself - for use on an American sports radio show last night reviewing The Open.

It doesn't really work though, it would make more sense if his 4th round was the poor one wouldn't it?
Yes but it was an American audience - irony is usually lost on them :ROFLMAO:
I did another one about the British challenge falling away like they did against Mel Gibson in the Patriot. It's what my editor wants and I guess an audience of 2.5M across syndicated stations are happy with it.

I'm not sure what's more embarrassing: repeating an inane 'joke' that has been floating around the internet incessantly for over 3 years and thinking it's still funny, or claiming to have thought it up yourself last night.

The initial joke didn’t make me spit my tea out when I read it, but it made me smile. What has really made me smile is the over reaction to the joke. 😳

Quite a valid point, but the kid is telling his dad. This kid/PS is telling the forum and it was the first time I had heard it. Plus the reasons for the ops original question was answered by The golfer in question. PS response was like a lot of responses on this forum that being light hearted jest.

It was the first few times but retelling the same joke over and over actually isnt funny.

Imagine if your kid told you the same joke every week.

would you still think its funny after the 20th time?

I doubt it
Ah I've heard a few variations of it as well. No Biggie, made me smile. I can watch happy Gilmore again and again, still makes me laugh.
