Broken Callaway Epic

Took an Epic out for a test yesterday at my club.

After a few shots it made a strange noise. The last time I hit it there was a loud dull thud sound and the ball only went about 150 yards.

It was broken. Looks like a complete separation of the titanium and the carbon along the crown.

No doubt Callaway will replace and hopefully this was a one off.

Nope, someone i know has sent 3 back. Now has a cobra and a full refund

Oh dear! They need to get their quality control sorted then.

I wonder if this premium product is out-sourced to somewhere like China to keep costs down?
