In the last couple of days a couple of incidengs have made me realise how this country is flat on it's arse.

Three people (a women, a man and a boy of 15) armed themselves with an axe and a knife and went looking for a girl who had aborted the 15 year olds child. After finding her the men chased her boyfriend and the woman fatally stabbed her through the heart.

21 year old girl murdered.

And on Saturday a 13 year old kid stabbed his foster mother to death for no reason what so ever. He paused his computer game and went into the kitchen and got a knife then stabbed her repeatedly.

I guarantee the 13 year old will be treated like some kind of victim and the 15 year old will be offered similar counciling.

I also expect both to be given new identities once they serve the paltry sentences this spineless politically correct country gives them.

When will we be tough on crime.

Broken UK. Similar in Wales and Northern Ireland. Don't know the answer but getting hundreds of pounds a weeks in benefits to spend on plasma TV, beer and fags while the majority try and keep their job can't be right.

I'll be honest with you guys. I used to travel to work on the train. During that train journey I'd normally read that morning's papers. What I read in the contents incensed me. So much so that I decided to stop reading them.

I very rarely read the news now. It's stopped my rages.

You must remember, the news will only print the absolute end of the social spectrum. So, you're reading about minority cases - not the majority. Scotland isn't full of teenage murderers or families hell bent on foetal revenge. You've got a wonderful country that's full of decent, law abiding people. Unfortunately, they never get any press.

It's the same with England, Wales and Ireland.

well our parliament is trying to get tough on crime - I mean, legislation to make the singing of the national anthem or crossing yourself (under certain circumstances) being punishable by up to 5 years in jail - that'll show us!!!

Benefits crack me up, I reckon conscription of some sort for the army etc on a non frontline basis for those that wont take a job elsewhere. I still believe benefits should be handed out in barcoded and identity protected vouchers so only the recipient can use them.

Speaking of justice, I saw on an evening telly show the other day (I usually pay no attention) that the father of Baby P will soon be released from prison for his 4 year sentence for being involved with the systematic torture and murder of the child.
In America a young guy has been give 70 years (albeit charges for each crime added consecutively onto each other) for hacking some computer systems.

Now the systems on both sides are flawed, of course they are.
Here, the man should have been chucked into prison for the rest of his useful life.
In america, the guy should have been rehabilitated and given a job (low pay at first at least) with the government working for them to secure their facilities.

I too have no time for those people who are happy to live their entire life on benefits, the system does in fact make it far too easy for them - as we all know full well.

Anyone can find them selves unemployed for many varied reasons and for differing lengths of time - i have no problem with anyone receiving benefit whilst actively seeking work.

What I do feel quite strongly about is that whilst there are people on benefit there should not be a single piece of litter in our streets nor any graffiti - the government should be saying 'yes we appreciate your current situation, we wont let you starve, but we do expect something back in return.

On the subject of conscription, the army does not want the utter dregs of society, they would be too much of a burden.

Unfortunately this country can/will never get tough on crime while we are bullied by European Courts and bound to the Human Rights Act. Both merely serve to keep lawyers rich and criminals free, none of which is terribly good for the average working joe out there.
