Having a real 80's music revival at the moment. Found my iPod in a suitcase and put it on random. First song was Safety Dance (Men Without Hats) followed by Tarzan Boy (Balitimora) and then Wild Wild Life (Talking Heads).

Twiddles a bit on iTunes and set up a massive playlist with all my 80's stuff on and am going back in time. The 80's are back baby!

Who's with me?

Snuck a listen to my wife's electronic 80's cd's the other day and it does make you realise that in among the mince there was some quality tunes. Not a patch on the 90's though.

I was 18 in 1988 which was the summer of love with S-Express etc. It was a superb time and I remember it fondly. 80s and Manchester bands ruled.

the only "music" i can properly remeber form the 80s would be the theme tune to button moon, roland rat, dangermouse and other things haha. bein i was born in 83

although i do know 80s tracks i dont remember them from then,

80's were fabulous...

AC/DC, Judas Priest, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Motorhead, Van Halen, G'N'R, Ozzy, Queensryche, Rush, Iron Maiden...
The list is endless

aye the willy waving long haired dudes lapped it up. Fair to say no particular type of music ruled in the 80s except they were all bands playing their own songs and music.
