Bridgestone walking away from UK golf....

I'd dare say you will be able to get their kit if you really wanted to.

Can't see why not myself, other brands across the world seem to cope OK with the excuses they have declared.

Why not just give the selling rights for the balls only to an independent UK distributor and let them sell direct and control their own marketing/sales?

Bridgestone simply ship in bulk and let the UK distributor choose his outlets, like Pro shops only :smirk:

I have only ever really seen their balls on sale in the UK and mainly in both AG and DG

Tried the 330's a number of years back.

These Vice balls seem to be popping up on other forums too.
Has anyone actually played them as they are priced well just wondered how they played.

Need to look for a replacement for the e6.

ChrisD swears the vice balls are like provs.

Recently at Camberley I remember him being very consistent with these balls as I was consistently looking for it in the rough.

Who cares? There is plenty other options around for everyone's swing speed, feel etc etc etc I could appreciate if it was Titleist, Ping, TM etc but in reality regardless of how big they are on the USA they're a minor supplier to the uk market and won't be missed BUT it shows how weak the UK golf market is.

No one on the forum will be disadvantaged in any way unless you happened to have a source a Bridgestone who gave you free stuff.

Non story, nothing to see here so move on please people.

The most random post of 2015....

Big shame. I'm a fan of the B330-RXS. I can understand the decision as the golf ball market is flooded and can't be that profitable and they've never really been a big player in the UK market. Sad about the balls but as I've so many premium balls of various makes I think I'll cope

AD333 is what I've gone back to after going through a couple of dozen E6 this year. Not a great deal between them IMO but I prefer the AD333 around the greens.

Ive used Bridgestone balls from 96 with the Rexstar, then when they finished had a few years with ProV then went back to Bridgestone 330's. I won't go back to ProV that's for sure.

Hardly a big loss for some but those of us that either play or have tried their equipment will be disappointed, have the J38 irons and they are fantastic and would definitely have bought Bridgestone gear again

Saying that they were not always very easy to find and trial

Disappointing as have been using the Supersoft balls as at £20 for 2 dozen they are a cracking ball at an excellent price

Agree. I much prefer the b330 to the pro v. However @ £69 for 3 dozen I'll be stocking up a lot!

Have to be honest and say I prefer them to the Pro V and there are several top end balls out there now I think are the equal if not better although that's probably another thread

I must be jinxed when it comes to golf balls.. I started playing the Mizuno D201 just before they were pulled and replaced, and having switched to the Bridgestone Extra Soft the company are pulling out of the UK.

I've got about six dozen of the Bridgestone Extra Soft to play through before I think about changing ball...
