Boxing/UFC 2018-25

Well looks I could not of got that anymore wrong if I tried.
Cracking fight and Usyk looked far too quick and far too strong but Dubois had a decent go at him to be fair

The accuracy and angles that Uysk finds is simply superb. He cleaned out a prime Dubois with ease.

Definitely don't want to see AJ or Chisora in the ring with Usyk - they should retire or have a dust up with Jake Paul 🤣.

Probably Parker has earned his chance.

Yeah I think Parker should be next. But… he’s not a big draw. The money fight is either Fury or Joshua (and I’d much rather see Fury in there again). Usyk’s legacy is already cemented. At 38 I’d be shocked if he didn’t follow the money.

Good comparison. Usyk is very bright with good boxing IQ. Knows how to nick rounds. Comes alive last 45 seconds of a round and makes the other fighter work at his pace. Dubois can hurt him though. He did in the first fight. His cardio was the issue last time.
His chin was the issue this time.

Looking forward to Itauma v Whyte tomorrow. Only watched Itauma a couple of times, but he has great attributes and is highly regarded. Whyte has obviously been in with the higher caliber of opponents. And only ever lost to top draw opposition. Intrigued to find out if this is a good match up at this stage. It’s only Itauma’s 13th fight and he’s the favourite.

Also looking forward to Du Plessis v Chimaev at UFC 319. Massive fight and should be a good watch.

I’ve watched all but one of Itauma fights, the kid looks the real deal and hell of a talent, obviously this is the next step up to the big boys. But he has it all and I see him taking this fight inside the first 6 rounds.

I’ve watched all his finishes now but only 2 actual full fights. As you say, he’s impressive and is highly touted. Whyte actually looks in shape so hopefully he hasn't just come to roll over.

Whyte looks the best I’ve seen him and think he has come to be serious but can’t even giving his best I can’t see it going past the 6th!

I can’t remember anyone without a stand-out amateur career (although I’ve read he was unbeaten in >20 fights) to use as a platform being this highly regarded. Hopefully he can live up to the hype. Equally hope if he is as good as they’re saying that he isn’t rushed.

called it from the off it would be Itauma, thought it would be the early rounds but was hoping Whyte had enough to get to at least 6 rounds to text Moses to see a bit more of what he’s got.

But instead what we got was the typical Itauma fast start with a couple of over hands and that right hooked rattled Whytes legs it was always going to be game over. But that has to be it for Whyte after that performance.

Yeah I think Whyte is done. Hopefully he got a nice pay day. I hope they don’t rush Itauma though. At 20 there’s plenty of time.

On a plus point I had a nice win, backing Itauma to win in rounds 1-2.

Canelo v Crawford superfight this weekend. Crawford coming up in weight but looking in good shape. Will he have the skills to take out Mexico's idol? Personally I hope Crawford does the business. Canelo is a great boxer but has had 'support' in his career from dodgy judging (GGG fights) and has eaten 'questionable food' in the past.

Parker v Wardley is also another great match up. Whilst Usyk is having a break these guys are coming together. Parker will probably do most of the boxing but Wardley has that power to end it in one punch.

The best thing about the Saudi involvement in boxing is the big fights we all want to see are now being made.

For years the top fighters avoided each other until the end of their careers and then it was just a pay day.

I think Canelo will edge it and think Parker will have a bit too much for Wardley.

The prospect of 2 decent fights though
