Joseph Parker testing positive for use of disco powder on the day of the fight
Tbh can’t even be bothered to watch it, to much faff surrounding it with nothing on the line apart from their dads names.Eubank VS Benn again tonight.
What do we all think?
I think same result as last time.
If the fight is half as good it will be a belter
I like the enthusiasmTbh can’t even be bothered to watch it, to much faff surrounding it with nothing on the line apart from their dads names.
If I had to pick A winner I’d prefer it to be Ben as Eubank JR is a prize prat. But I really don’t care who wins as the fight is a pre cursor to nothing.
I always loved boxing and the first fight was a good scrap, but it wasn’t worth the hype that’s being used to bill this 2nd fight. 2 fighters that are not going to top their divisions are only getting top billing on a PPV fight because of who their dads are.I like the enthusiasm.
2 fighters who are never going to be at the very top but there last fight was very good and I think 2 fairly evenly matched boxers normally makes for a decent fight

This is part of the problem with boxing I’m struggling with in finding enthusiasm to watch these days. There is no real top billing or top fighters really worth watching it’s all become pantomime. Hope it’s a good fight for those tuning in but I really can’t be bothered to watch it let alone pay for it.
I’ll wait for the result tomorrow and if I can be bothered watch the highlights for free![]()
I didn’t bother watching it for my reasons above and exactly same things you have said here. From comments I’ve seen on Socials and live text snippets, it was as expected dull, Eubank looking past it and Benn not having to be anything other than above average to win. Glad I didn’t waste the money.Classic case of age and weight catching up. I didn't want the rematch as I don't like how these bouts were contrived.
British boxing t it’s absolute peak those fights and the only resin this one today happens again. The Benn/Eubank/Watson fights were awesome.
Was a weird watch. Eubank clearly not right and not at it. Whether that be age, weight or injury - it just wasn’t there. Benn stuck to his plan well. But it wasn’t a masterful performance as the commentators said. For large parts there was nothing coming back. Hope they don’t go for the trilogy.Classic case of age and weight catching up. I didn't want the rematch as I don't like how these bouts were contrived.
So I was right not to watch it and called itVery strange fight.
Eubank looked like he was bored and didn’t want to be there.
Benn showed the level he is at.
A decent fighter would have knocked Eubank out in the first few rounds.
Cant see either getting much more out of their career now.
I think Eubank should call it a day and Benn will get beaten by the first decent fighter he meets.
After last night I can’t see there being much clamour for a third fight from the public.
Benn usual weight is 144lbs (65kg) Welterweight so stepped up 2 classes for thee fights. He in much better and shows good power at that weight. Eubank Jris a super middleweight so usually fights at 168lbs (76.2kg) he can’t fight at the lighter weight and isn’t good enough to go back up.Was a poor spectacle, Eubank an absolute mile off it and Benn didn’t need to do much.
Eubank looks to skinny as well, I’m not sure what their usual weights are, but another fight shouldn’t be on the cards.
I have seen worse fights and the way Benn fights he is all action (he has a similar attitude to his dad without the ability). So I was right not to watch it and called it
Eubank is done he can’t go back up to his natural weight he’d be battered and Needs to call it a day. Benn has opportunity though as he can go back to his natural weight class knowing he can compete heavier so I’ll be stronger at his natural weight fighting smaller guys because he stepped up 2 weight classes for these fights.

So the weight difference is a massive issue as well then, that’s why they shouldn’t of fought in the first place. So I was right not to watch it and called it

I don’t think I have been negative towards the fight. The weight should have been an issue for Benn, not Eubank and the rules state you have to weigh x to fight in that category.
Therefore, no reason whatsoever they shouldn't have fought.
For all the negatives quoted here, it was a good fight to watch.
Sell out crowd got 12 rounds of boxing and everyone wanted the follow up to the first match, which incidentally, Eubank won.
I don’t think I have been negative towards the fight.
As I said previously it was not a bad fight (never going to be as good as the first).
I don’t think either looked top class but were quite evenly matched (before the fight).
Eubank for whatever reason didn’t turn up on the night though.
I don’t think there should be a 3rd fight though.
I think personally Benn is just below the ability of the top world fighters on what I have seen from him.I was generalising the commentary, so not aimed at anyone at all.
I am of an age I 'benefit' from the family history and served in the same regiment as Benn back in the 80's, so for many my age, there is much more to the event than many and despite that, I also don't want to see a further fight from these two.
This was all about years and years of rivalry and money - lots of money - Benn will likely now go on to win titles. Less so for Eubank.
No one likes bowing out on a loss, but only vanity will see Eubank continuing to fight. I'd say Benn is a good boxer, can scrap and take a decent hit or seven. At his chosen weight, he has to be a title contender.
