Boxing Day

Scramble this morning in pretty windy conditions but dry and not cold.

Started 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 and out in 30 (-6). Slowed down a bit on the back 9 (only -1) and lost by half a shot. I'm not still thinking about the 3 times we had a putt under 5' and all 3 of us missed

garbage, had intended playing today but ended up at the sales - Braehead was utter torture. How come the music selection in HMV shrinks by the day to fit other crap in - I've got vouchers to spend for god's sake! they didn't even have the Vaccines album I was looking forward to buying.

lack of sleep, too much food and drink, 2 kids fighting and house too hot has left me a tad irksome. Didn't get out either..................cabin fever setting in!

God I envy whoever's getting on the course, no matter the weather!

Just up at the In-laws ready to start Xmas all over again tomorrow.
Happy days again.
FIL keeping me topped up with booze, MIL keeping me topped up with nosh.....
Mmmmmm.....:

Just back from the game. 3-0 against Brighton a nice boxing day present, and into the top 6. I can see another trip to wembley in May coming on.:)

Hit the Hugo Boss sale late on this afternoon and got a right result. 1/4 zip golf jumper reduced by over £100, don't mind if I do.

Hit the practice ground for a couple of hours. Not overly happy with the swing but the results weren't overly bad. Not doing what the new teaching pro wants. Not through lack of trying but I can do it for a couple of shots and boy oh boy are the results good and then tend to get a little over excited so elements of the old swing creep back in. Still so much better than it was just annoying the crap out of me I can't do it 7 or 8 time out of 10

Sounds very familiar. I am having similar issues.

Anyone else picked anything up from the sales yet....

I just ordered some new 360 4.0 Adidas shoes £55 and a new Cleveland CG15 56 degree wedge £50. Also 3 dozen Bridgestone Tour B330RXS £60 from Direct Golf.

I reckon that lot would of retailed at £275+++. :whoo:

Well after a so called mate who was ment to call me back about going for a few cheeky pints decided to jot call back, reply to texts or answer his phone I spent the rest of the day watching the footy, shells wonderful world of golf and drinking JD.

So not a bad night.

Just trying to resit the urge to go drunk online shopping.

I filmed it and instead of getting a more laid off position as per the pros request the swing was too long and going across the line. However when it got to the business end I was hitting it well, most of the time. The usual dilema of style over substance or working on what the pro said for longer term benefits v finding a way to get it round and sod how

All day in bed ill with chest infection. Passed out a few times spent last night in a and e so not the best Xmas for me.

Had lie-in, mainly due to dealing with a head cold (highly recommend Sudafed). Walked dogs with family. Had excellent cold turkey sandwich. Took daughters over to stables, mucked out horses while they rode. Got back for boiled ham for tea then all out to see new Sherlock Holmes film - all very enjoyable, but not very Golf Monthly. Then tried 3 times to answer a PM I just noticed and the £&@)(;! Website keeps logging me out before I can send the reply and doesn't save drafts.

Crap day

Wife's gone down with flu bug and I cant walk without stick yet. We had to cancel Xmas dinner for son and and his gorgeous, preggers girl friend and if I have to watch another animated film the tv's going through the window

The footie was crap and the Mighty Eagles lost - just another normal Xmas. Weather here is perfect for a game though and if I could only walk !!

Steady day. Had a lie in, leisurely start to the day.
Town match in the afternoon (scraped a win!) followed by a few beers afterwards. Back home, all settled down to watch a film on Sky.

Now looking out of window, a bit windy but dry. I feel the courses calling me!
