Bournemouth airport

yeh, its hardly Heathrow T5 though, but you can buy a mag/batteries/books and have a burger and pint. Don't expect much though! Its decent enough for what it is!

it's alright, a little regional airport, smaller than Southampton & Exeter.

There's a new terminal which is OK, got a Smiths, a café and the obligatory duty free rip off.
If you're being dropped off it will cost who ever is doing it £2.50 :o not sure this applies to cabs. Leave your car @ Gordon's he's really close

It does:angry:
However Bournemouth comes into its own when you get back, off the plane and out inside 30 mins. At Gatwick you wouldn't have even made it into the immigration hall:rolleyes:

It is a bit like a WWI landing strip.

Bournemouth International Airport [to give it it's proper name] area thieving bunch of so and so's.
I booked a hire car on line and when I collected they charged me £30 extra as it was outside their normal working times............It was 2pm on a Saturday.....all the companies were at it.
They said it was on the small print......when I got back home I checked and it was not

To be fair, that is the hire car company policy nothing to do with the airport.

It used to be when it was called Hurn Airpot tin sheds and a scarecrow on the grass lol , I remember paying £1 to take off go round the airfield take control for 2 mins then land but that was 40yrs ago

So how is that anything to do with Bournemouth airport, I have yet to hire a car direct from an airport company? They are normally bothered about aircraft and not renting Nissan Micra's.
