Why oh why do golf commentators have to be so flipping mind numbingly boring? Now I know golf on tv isn't the most exciting of sports especially in the first 3 rounds but the commentators do little to put a bit of "watchabitity" into proceedings.
Sky commentators are really dull and make golf even worse than it is, is there no one who can put a bit of life into Golf?

Handy for the eye candy (poem) but she does little to lift the mood. We need characters in the booth. Golf is one of the best games for the craic both on course and off it, that is it's appeal. We need someone who can get this spirit across.

Of the people who do the actual commentary of the action as it happens the only one I could listen to all day long is Radar yet Sky do not use him for the flagship events and instead use the mind numbingly boring Howard Clark instead!

Ewan Murray I like and also Jean Van de Velde but apart from these guys the rest don't bring a lot to the party.

We really need someone who will call a spade a spade. Peter Alliss was the first person I ever heard that said "That really wasn't a good shot" too many others do not criticise poor shots nearly enough. When it's poo, tell us it's poo. Oh and make it interesting.

I agree, the odd gale of laughter would be refreshing :D

I have to agree but there aren't many great presenters or commentators out there across most sports on TV. Take away the main name in each sport's coverage or commentary and the next level down are usually a long way off the mark
