Have any of you had the pleasure of reading one of Cr Bob's books. I received "Your 15th Club" as a christmas present, and can say that it has definetly made a massive difference to my game, particulary my putting, which has come on leaps and bounds since reading it. I intend to re-read it every 6 months or so.

Has the book had a similar effect on anyone else or is it just me?

I know he has another 5 books on the wonderful game and was wondering if any of you had had the opportunity of reading them and whether they are/can be as helpful as this one?

Sorry, not a fan. Just me, I guess, as I am sure loads have benefitted from Golf's not a game of perfect, which seems to be one of the most popular.

Got "golf's not a game of perfect" for crimbo. I'm still reading it, but I like it, and it has helped improve my game. Returned to golf at the beginning of last year after a 10 year hiatus, was shooting around the hundred mark fairly consistently. If I played a blinder, could shoot 92/ 93, but usually steady about 102. After I started reading the book I set myself a target to break 90 consistently this year, went out New years eve and promptly shot 89... went out 2 days later and shot 90. I haven't been able to play since then but still feel I can do better than that, so have lowered my target, will see how it pans out as I start playing more regularly.

"Golfs not a game of perfect" got this book on Thursday from Amazon, half way through it already. Will let you know the results in a couple of months. The book does make a lot of sence.

I've screamed and shouted about how great his books are on many a thread.

Such simple sound advice, and by thinking about what he says and taking the course management and logic with you, I can't see how it could not help you!!!

Hey, if it works for Harrington!!!

Golf's Not Game of Perfect is extremely good. However, I would also recommend Golf: The Mind Factor by Karl Morris and Darren Clarke. Morris's (I think) concept of 'natural timing' is well worth a try.

I have just returned from Waterstone's having used up a £20 book token. I chose The Golfer's Mind by Rotella and Zen Golf by Dr Joseph Parent. I had just received the token back with £2 left on it, when my wife came rushing up to me with a DVD, The Story of Golf at £2.50 reduced from £12.99. This has a mass of golf stuff. Just been looking at a lot of golf history and there is much more. It looks a bargain.
I will get into the Rotella book right away.

just finished "putting out of your mind", also read "golf is not a game of perfect" and "golf is a game of confidence" in the last three weeks, there's two more in the set which I'll start tomorrow. I think the concepts are fantastic, as to wether they've helped my game physically I'm not sure but the last two rounds I've had, I've certainly been more relaxed and let the bad shots go out of my head, which in turn has made me happier!
I'm really trying the putting techniques he writes about and am positive it can only be good for me!

ALL HAIL LORD BOB! :D
