BMW PGA Championship - Wentworth 2026

Good morning all,

I've got general admission tickets to the Thursday & Friday along with 18th green grandstand tickets for both days. While I watch a lot of golf on TV, this will be the first time I will attend a tournament live.

Does anyone who has been to Wentworth before have any tips and advise for getting the most out of my two days? Top spots to try and watch from etc.?

Get yourself a spot up around the back of the 10th green, it’s a great little spot as you can see approaches to the 7th and 10th greens, you can also see tee shots off both 8th & 11th tees. Everytime I’ve been it’s often an underused spectator spot so you get great views.

No tip for actually being at Wentworth but a general tip for a tournament. If you intend following a group, don't follow one of the really big boys. You will barely see anything, it becomes a scrum. Find a spot on a hole, elbows out, watch a few groups go through. Mix it up, stand behind the tee on a par 5, watch them smash the life out of a ball. Stand at the green for a par 3, stand at a landing zone on a par 4, to watch them play their approach shots.

When we went we followed a group for a couple of holes, stopped for a couple of groups then followed a group etc etc..to see the whole course then picked some vantage points.

Not wentworth specifically but lesser names and groups without the big players or crowds for me is the most enjoyable.
Still seeing these guys up close and how they hit it is amazing.

Been several times, plenty of options available, I like to get behind the flag on the 2nd hole (par3) watch a few groups go through, then follow a particular group for a few holes.

The big names will have huge numbers following them, so choose a hole, get in position and wait, trying to see what is going on through crowds 9 deep is no fun.

The 17th is a good hole to get behind, a great range of approach shots can be viewed.
And of course, if you can get into the 18th grandstand, you can see the groups come home plus other action on the screens

There is only 1 rule, you must visit the yum yum girls in their van for a bacon butty, they’ll be near the entrance

Drive a BMW

This is actually true.
Take a BMW key and it’s get you quicker access to bars etc.
Slowly walk round from holes 1-18 and don’t follow a group gives you most views of people playing.
Also sit in a stand for an hour or so to rest and let the players come to you.
