Blitz Golf

Gaz Beadle is from Geordie Shore - and has a pretty strong social media following - does lots of golf content.

Harry Brook plays cricket. I can't actually believe you're asking who he is tbh... :ROFLMAO:
Gaz has 4M following on Instagram.... & Brook, is Eng cricket Captain living local.
Not so local & not a golfer but an entertaining influencer is John Farnworth- Will be interesting to see just who & how many it attracts. I hope to hobble along after knee replacement in 2 weeks time.

Geordie Shore absolutely vacuous tv and wouldn’t watch it if you paid me so that’s why I’ve no idea who he is.

As for cricket I’d rather stick wasps up my backside than watch, listen to or talk about. One of the dullest sports in the world imo so yes I have no idea who he is

You could be the type of entertainer they're looking for..🤣🤣
It is, after all, not intended to be an out-and-out golfing event, so we were the only takers from the N Leeds Clubs. I see there's no involvement from Surrey either.
Yes it's definately a horses-for-courses type of event but at £23 some punters will be exchanging banter with those they choose. Also reinforces the idea that golf Clubs don't need to be 'stuffy' sort of places.
By the way I have no idea if Gaz, Harry or John will be there..... but I have no problem should they do.

I never watched Geordie Shore in my life but I have stumbled across his YouTube channel. Decent golfer off 3 or 4, but I'm convinced he has ADHD the way he rabbits on.

Literally never heard of the fella through that crap tv series or YouTube. The way you’ve described him on top of what I’ve already been told sounds like another reason for me to avoid this 🤣

I got all excited and thought it was Jeremy Beadle and Kelly Brook when I first read it.
Now I wish it was
Kelly Brook or real name Parsons! I was in the RE with her brother absolute unit of a bloke and a nice fella. For as strong and buff as he is, his sister always had the better chest 😏.

I probably pay to go watch her and Jeremy Beadle even if it was just to see him grip it with his “strong hand “ 🤣

Her shape has changed in recent years

Facebook just sent me an advert for Blitz golf, there are four events in England: London, Leeds, Worcester and Lincoln. Blitz Golf seems to be loud and a bit brash, their website mentions a "festival atmosphere" with live music, DJs, interactive fan zones and premium hospitality experiences. If you hate LIV, you'll also hate Blitz - I think that's a given. Which makes it very surprising that the Lincoln venue is Lincoln Golf Club, probably the most old-fashioned and reserved club in the area (possible exception of Woodhall Spa). I'm not sure what some of their members are going to make of all this. I hope they've arranged reciprocals for them for that day!

From their Intro to us it's more LIV+++ as well being an Aussie idea....... mind you they have 'developed' cricket, though with the last Ashes, ruined the Test game.
It's a golfing festival where many will come for just a different day out, whilst others may be attracted by the idea of having 'banter' & collecting autographs from celebs etc.
All pretty harmless in the great scheme of things, though there'll always be those who find reason to whinge that the game is being messed about!

Let those who attend the events decide if it’s worthwhile, if you’re not interested in it, don’t worry about it.

Good luck to them.👍🏻

How do these events play out!

I’ll give it a go! New ideas are worth a try!

Apologies for hijacking the thread - it's kind of in a similar vein to the discussion topic.

Just gonna give this a push on behalf of the guys that organise these events, it's less than 2 weeks away, cracking day out - they're asking for a £10 parking fee this year which helps cover marshalling costs with any remaining monies going to Mr Captains charity at Ganton.

Combination of celebs and pro golfers taking part who will be paired up playing a bunch of talented young Yorkshire lads - we went last year and it was a great day out. If you are in the North and at a loose end a week on Friday - give it a look.

Not sure Peter Finch is going to be there but I think the rest of the celebs are pretty much confirmed.
