Anyway, it's apparently built up a bit of a following in OZ, I've put my name down on the waitlist for tickets and will give it a look if possible - Leeds Golf Centre is only the other side of Leeds from where we are.

Has anybody seen much of this format before? Concept looks sound enough to me with it all done and dusted in a few hours.

Not announced yet. I expect that's all in the works at the moment. There's a few recognisable names both pro and celeb from the Australian events.

All the events are around mid to late June which is around the time of the US Open then Italian Open

So prob a lot of celebs and maybe ex European players etc

Interesting to see what happens with it

Sounds like someone suggesting a plate with a carrot on it, but telling you it's a Sunday Lunch, but all done and dusted much more quickly

Never heard of it! Clicked the link read the blurb a still not interested.

The time it’s on I can’t see it being any decent names and I really don’t care about celebs playing. I think I’ll let this one pass me but and watch the actual tournament golf on at the same times.

Having now seen that I’m even less enthused to watch it.

Having reflected on this, I think there are several factors that make me watch an event...live or on tv

Significance of the event = nope
Who is playing = nope
Course played = nope

I see a problem

From what I heard from them last night its families & none serious golfers that they get + folk who want to banter with the likes of Harry Brook & Gaz Beadle both who've had membership here. In Oz attracted several 1,000s.
No names been mentioned so far but its a first in the UK for us...

I'll come over and watch if it doesn't clash with anything. I suspect it'll be in a similar vein to The Match up at Ganton over easter - that was a cracking day out last year and although there looks to be fewer pros there this year, there are more recognisable celebs involved.
