Thanks to the original poster and yourself for reminding me :)

Is that actually part of the course you are on or have you stapled into the neighbouring field? That teebox (at least I think that's what it is) is shocking!

Oh, and a football shirt? on a golf course? really?

ah weather was boiling, local muni, casual game, if i was playing with club, i would of worn the "correct" attire, also not worth the ribbing i'd get of me mates if i'd worn my trousers and polo for like i said a casual round!!

and yep some of the tee box's are bad, only part of the course that lacks for me

That type of behavior and dress has no place in golf regardless of what course you are playing.

ok i can see the points about, the happy gilmoring...

but not about the clothes im wearing, for a casual round with a friend, who was playing his second round ever, it was a hot day, so dressed casually, to reflect the amosphere and round that was being played

some posts just smack big time of snobbery

Nothing to do with snobbery IMO, but all do to with etiquette and respect.

on what im wearing yes it is snobbery imo, like i said i can see th points being made about the happy gilmore type swing, but deffinatly not on what i chosse to wear, how is that disrespectful, and bad ettiquete on a course with no dress code what so ever?

its not.....

Well the way I see it is if you look like a golfer you might stand a chance of playing like a golfer.

You mate, don't look like a golfer.

well that logic is ridiculous......

and no i look like me, out for a casual round with a friend, happened to shoot 2 over my PB while doing so, so your logic is flawwed imo....

Not a snob in anyway what so ever as my entire golf wardrobe is Dunlop but there is certain standards that should be adhered to regardless of dress code etc.

opinions differ, i wouldnt dare turn up at a club meeting dressed casually nor would i ignore other courses dress code, but for a round with a mate who is playing his second round ever then its a different story...

my pb is 101, not great but not to bad considering i only took up the game a month ago
